On Costa Rica brews (& time) !

We are talking about all things Costa Rica brews today! Have you ever tried any of our coffees from Costa Rica? We have a variety of delicious brews (including a Gesha!) from Costa Rica. Are you ready to learn more about our Costa Rica coffees? Sip back and enjoy the reading!

All of our coffees from Costa Rica come from the same farm, Finca Casa de Piedra. This coffee farm is one of two that is operated by Café Directo. Café Directo is a fifth generation of coffee producers, as a family business who desires to bring you the best coffees from the farms in a direct way. Café Directo and its coffee farms are dedicated to the production, processing, and marketing of the finest Costa Rican Tarrazú coffees in harmony with the environment! We love this as we are now B-Corp certified!

We actually had the opportunity to go and visit Finca Casa de Piedra, so, enjoy some photos while you learn all about our coffees from this farm!

The first coffee we are discussing has us super excited! It’s Finca Casa de Piedra Gesha Natural! If you’ve heard of a Gesha coffee before, you’ve probably heard that they’re very unique and could be quite expensive coffees… but why? Well, Gesha coffees require an intensive farming process to grow and harvest, which are the main drivers of the varietal's high price tag. Gesha is known for its sweet flavour and aroma! Our Costa Rica Gesha in particular has delicious flavours of apple and marzipan, with tropical notes and a spicy finish (it’s fab on espresso) !

The next coffee we have from this farm is Finca Casa de Piedra Natural. This coffee has delicious, tropical, fruity notes that finishes with flavours of Eucalyptus and Apricot; it will definitely have you going back for a second cup! This coffee is a Natural processed coffee. "Natural" processed coffees are coffees dried in the fruit, and “natural” is the most popular term for the whole in-cherry drying!

We have one more coffee from Costa Rica to tell you about; Finca Casa de Piedra Pacamara. This coffee tastes like summer in your cup because it’s bursting with flavours of lemonade, pineapple, peach, and red berries! This coffee is also natural / dry processed, and it will definitely keep you coming back for the second cup!

That wraps up our Costa Rica coffees. Hope you enjoyed learning about them, and maybe you even found yourself a new brew!
